Chuck,

The light fixture and bulb thing..........You are a genius, a master. Words just seem so, I don't know, inadequate.
I turned a 1/24th baseball bat using a Dremal and an emory board, for the back seat of that Camaro, and was thrilled, but a light bulb! Pretty cool.

Chuck, very nice weathering and model work. i like the red oak garage!!...as im a gas station nut? have a bunch of orig material and photo's on service stations,and your right on the money with your details. Im doing a service station in 1/25 scale in the flying red horse, that i started Years Ago. i get inspiration looking at your work....hope it will drive me back to the work bench again. as i been away from modeling WAY TO LONG....Craig mich.

Mr. Doan,
You do incredible work. You are an artist! I enjoy studying what you have shown on the web and in magazines. I really like the Groveland Garage. I too like old Coke signs and use many of them in my modeling. But the 7Up version of the garage sign was outstanding. I can't wait to try the curved 7Up signs myself. Are you going to do a book on modeling as mentioned in another message? If so, please let me know how I can purchase a copy for my library.

I am an accomplished, professional artist. When I saw Vermeer's "View of Delft" in The Hague, it opened up a new frontier of what's possible for a landscape painter like me. I thought Van Ruysdael and Bierdstat and guys like that were the great artists....then I saw "View of Delft."

I am a model railroader, also. When I accidentally came across your modelling while searching for steam locomotive engine houses for ideas for modelling my own engine house, your skill and execution laid open an extraordinary new frontier of what might be possible for a modeler. Before I saw your work here, I thought John Allen and George Sellios were the great modellers. Your work changes my idea of what great modelling is.
