The assignment was upgraded to the working fire at 12:49, and the 2nd alarm on arrival at 12:49. Companies had heavy fire from two, 2 story row dwellings with heavy extension into the 3rd dwelling. After knocking the bulk of the fire from the exterior, Companies went to an interior attack to get to hot spots and extension.. and modified Yesterday At 23:30 companies were dispatched to 5th & Chestnut for the bldg fire. The assignment was upgraded to the working fire at 23:31 and a 2nd alarm at 23:38. 04-9 had a 2 story twin dwelling well involved with heavy extension to the "D" exposure. Crews lead off with nmumerous handlines from the exterior. An attempt was made at an interior attack on the exposure, but crews were backed out due to deteriorating bldg conditions. Companies then went to deluge guns and a Ladder pipe for the remainder of the fire fight. Tower-05 was special called to access some hard to hit hot spots. and modified 2 days ago 21-9 arrived o/s reporting heavy smoke from the 2nd floor & eaves of a 2 story mor dwelling. He requested the re-dispatch for working fire along with r.i.t.-19. Orders were given fro the 1st enginge to drop a supply line. Crews ran 2, 1-3/4 lines into the home. Crews opened up to find fire in the walls and cieling between the 1st & 2nd floor. and modified 16 days ago Companies were dispatched to the above location for an mva with entrapment. UD-11 arrived reporting a car against a house with the occupants leg trapped in the door. The car had rolled down the driveway with an open door and the occupants leg outside the door. The car came to rest against the house closing the door and pinning the occupants leg. Companies stabilized the vehicle, then went in svc with airbags to push the car away from the house and free the drivers leg. Companies arrived to a 2-1/2 story SFD with fire 1st floor and heavy smoke through out. Engine crews led off with an 1-3/4 line and made a quick knock n the fire, while Ladder crews started ventilation. and modified 28 days ago Companies were dispatched for the mva with entrapment & ejection. U/D-11 arrived reporting he had 1 vehicle vs a traffic light pole, with 3 victims trapped and 2 ejected. Medics o/s requested 2 additional Als & Bls units to the scene. They also requested a helo to fly. The 1st extrication took aprrox 10 mins. The other 2 were heavily pinned being the driver & driver side rear passenger. Rescue & Ems personnel worked together on treating the patients and getting them extricated. The driver was the second to be extricated in another 10 mins, and most seriously injured. The back seat passenger was last for extrication with his feet trapped under the drivers seat. Companies had numerous tools in svc for the entire operation, cutters, spreaders, rams and the winch. Final extrication time for the last victim was approx 40 minutes. Pennstar did fly but was unable to land due to weather.
