and modified 2 months ago Took Hiker for a morning hike over in Whitney Canyon. The canyon is beautiful in the morning, this time of year. Even without us having much rain, everything is so green. I love this canyon because it has such pretty oak groves and so many nice grassy meadows. Did not go all the way to the waterfall because there is no need to when there's no water in the canyon. We've had a little rain this winter, but not enough for the creek to run. We went over to Towsley Canyon which was also crowded but we found a parking space. and modified 3 months ago It was 55 deg. at the house when Hiker and I headed up to Vasquez Rocks but when we got there, it was 48 deg. and very cold and very windy. and modified 3 months ago After lunch I loaded Hiker into the car and we headed over to Whitney Canyon for a short 2 mile hike. I had not been in Whitney Canyon since just before Ben went into the hospital 2 years ago so it was nice to have some different scenery for a change. Hiker had never been to Whitney Canyon so she had a lot of new smells to check out. Did not go all the way up to the waterfall.
