and modified 4 days ago Johnny bought this 41 custom as it was in photo number 2. George Barris had built it for John Vara. Soon Johnny had Barris paint it Tokay beige, then the grille was modified from 48 Pontiac bars to '50's Pontiac bar and Studebaker teeth, and once again the car was painted maroon with gold dust mixed in. The top was done by Chavez and the interior in leather by Bill Hilborn. The car first had small round taillights and later the first set of its kind bumper guard taillights where installed.
