What a great site you have compiled here. I could spend hours going through it and never get tired. I left a comment on the photo of the Western SMT Matador which may help. I hope so anyway. Seeing the Matador sitting in the Dockshop at Nursery Avenue brought back many happy memories for me especially as you can see a lot of detail behind and at the side of the vehicles and this really set my mind going. Thank you for doing what you do.

Brian firstly may I say what a fantastic picture gallery you have and I am always visiting your site to see what new photos you have added, I am currently developing a collection of Dumfries & Galloway transport for my own interest and have been grateful to enthusiasts who have given me photos of old dumfriesshire vehicles, I do not sell for personal gain but merely keep then for my own collection but I am going to try and forward you a picture of the Mick Hayton albion you have just added in its new refurbished state please do not offer this photo for sale as it is not mine to sell.

had a quick look in this morning, it just keeps getting better & better!
A lot of new pictures since I was in last, some crackers!

Still one of the best Lorry websites on the planet!

By the way, I'm still looking for my old Scania 112m - 6x2 Lift axle - B35 JSS,
Last thought to located in either Hull or Halifax or possible Sheffield
(Intake Transport yard earlier this year!) areas in the late 1990's,could be in a breakers yard, has anyone seen it recently?
Last known colour was Blue.

I stumbled upon your site, in a quiet moment. I worked at Christian Salvesen's from 1977 to 1988, at various sites, in different management capacities. It was great to see photos of old trucks(and truckers) form my times there. I shall dip in from time to time to savour your contents.

An excellent trip down memory lane ,only wish i had got the computer earlier , i remember lots of these old fleet from the 60s and 70s ,i ran up scotch most of the time and remember many of those old motors,especially p&s contracts,charlie alexanders and west of scotland who we back loaded from with euclids and caterpillars . keep up the good work and i will try send you some rk crisp and richards and wallington photos .

A great collection and brings back many memories especially the infamous MACKS from WEST of SCOTLAND they may be long gone but its great to see young Campbell hasnt lost any of what we did back them , I hear that he has the best loader men in the land , Big Nixon , Gary Bandit ,Wee Matt and co ,and good luck to them !!

hi brian that is a brilliant web sight that you have done for folk that are into trucking to look at, old and new i prefare the old; if i come across and charlie alexanders photos i will be glad to send them onto you as that is my favorite album a lot of good memories meeting the drivers with my dad and the laughs
they used to have but theres not so many old timers left that i can ask for photos
but i will keep looking thanks,' i am using my wifes email address as i dont have one yet as i will have to get her to show me how to set it up as i hardly us the computer
