A ham fest isn't a bunch of folks gathered to consume a bunch of smoked ham or bbq but rather a group of individuals with a common interest in the electronic world of amateur radio and communications. Dealers as far as Kansas City, Kansas came to show off their wares with hopes of sales as well as developing new clientele for their electronics and radios.
