Last week, I surprised my beautiful, amazing girlfriend with a proposal. She had no idea that I was going to walk around the corner to her table at the restaurant on the river in San Antonio, Texas and propose. She thought I was halfway across the country in my hometown of Indian Trail, NC. It was a perfect evening. It would be so wonderful for us to spend our first days of marriage on a honeymoon to Disney World, however, whether we do or not, I know I've already won because I have found the love of my life! Married very young, Joe and Rose are still together. And to think their families said it would never last! They met through a family friend. After a short (very short) engagement, they married. They have 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. They will celebrate their anniversary August 2nd.

It was Sunday November 11, 2007 and our Walt Disney World vacation kicked off smoothly. After a day of winding paths throughout Animal Kingdom we cap off the night at the Magic Kingdom watching the Wishes firework show . It was the end to a perfect day but with a surprise unlike any other. As the lights dimmed and the sky above was lit with pixie dust it happened...Just like a bolt out of the blue....The wishes of two dreamers came true!

This is a true video of my proposal to my girlfriend of 3 years. Disney has always been a big part of our lives together and it was a joy to ask her there. We went there as chaperones on school trip where I teach, but i had more in store for her. She had no idea it was coming (as you can tell). It is our desire to return soon and take more time to enjoy 'just being' with each other. She is the most wonderful person in the world and it is my honor to serve her the rest of our lives. We had the most wonderful wedding. It was a true Disney-esque fairtale.
From the surprise proposal to the elegant dress, to the fun fill Disney honeymoon everthing was perfect.
We got married July 4th weekend so we could have fireworks on our anniversary every year.
His parent bought us a unique wedding present. Instead of throwing rice, all guests were given a butteryfly to release as we left the church. It was a amazing sight to see 300 butterflies take off at once.
My now husband is a Disneyfreak so I let him plan the honeymoon to Disney though not quite as extravigant as the prize here, it was great.
It's now been 6 years and we have two beautful children.
It would wonderful to go back and enjoy a couples only trip again.
It's been fun to go back and look through the wedding photos again and create this video. It brings back alot of treasured memories. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did creating it.

Melissa and I have been dating ever since she was a sophomore in High School, way back in 2003. We have had a wonderful relationship, and In March 2007 we flew out to Paris and I proposed under the Eiffel Tower. It was a very magical day for the two of us. We married in May of 2007 in a small church. We have yet to go on a honeymoon and this would be a wounderful One Year Anniversary for the both of us. Neither one of us has ever experienced the Magical Place called WALT DISNEY WORLD! Joel and I fell in love at Disneyland after having season passes and going on a weekly sometimes daily basis. It only seemed fitting to get engaged there (Which was a complete surprise!!) We had our amazing sister in law take our engagement pictures throughout the park and after our wedding we headed over to Disneyland for some more fun! We stayed at the Disney Hotel on our wedding night to add to the magic. All of the pictures were taken in the Disneyland Resort and caught on film by Destiny Johansen.

We met while attending the University of Tampa, only about an hour from Disney World. Right after we met, I learned that someone that Karen had been dating from back home, was coming to visit and would be taking her to Disney World. Although we had only had 1 or 2 dates, I thought she was the one. I wanted to be the one to take her for a special day at Disney. Our day together at Disney confirmed it for both of us -- and my strategy paid off!! That was 34 years ago, and FunJet Vacations’ tagline “do something you’ll never forget” has truly described our experiences with Disney, then and later on with our children. We’d love to go back again, with just the 2 of us, and have a second honeymoon that we’d never forget. But win or lose, it was a sweet experience recalling our trips and putting together memories that we have shared with each other and with our children at Disney World.
