It was an honor and privilege as a parent volunteer to work with 5th grade students helping them accomplish improved math skills and academics with the iMath program. iMath was designed to allow students to work at their own pace and level. Students utilize individual assessment sheets and games permitting them to master their own specific discipline to move on.

The parents of our 5th grade class have a “snack sale" each Friday afternoon at Grace Miller Elementary School in La Verne to help raise money for an end-of-the-school-year party. Tammy Desmond and Julie Harris have been there rain or shine dedicating their time and energy for the kids. This year they have helped raise over $1,800.00 that will go towards an amazing party for 69 of Grace Miller Elementary School 5th graders. Parents donated items each week and with most families strapped for cash, this has brought much delight to our families and will give our kids a day to remember. So on June 5th 2009, our kids will enjoy a day at Jumping Jacks in Rancho Cucamonga, goodie bags, Mc Donald’s restaurant has donated breakfast and when they get back to school the kids will enjoy a movie. Popcorn and snow cones. We give our ultimate thanks to the parents, teachers, staff and principal for supporting US.
