Thanks for stopping by my new site, and the comments.

Advice.. hmmm. Don't! Kidding!

Start by putting together some regular people shots. Practice portrait work with anybody who will let you practice on them. It is easy to make a model look beautiful, more difficult to take a shot of a soccer mom and make her say "WOW! Thats me?!" Once you get there.. HIRE a model that has a little expereince. This really won't cost you that much, and WILL pay for itself. The object here is she will make you look good.. she will know how to pose and it will be difficult for you to get a bad shot (unless you are just not cut out for this). You pad your portfolio with this best few from this shoot.. add a couple of your best neighbor kid and soccer mom shots.. and you will start getting the business and the models.

Pick up the women's fashion magazines.. look at the photos, pay attention to the advertisements. These should give you inspiration for composition.

Have fun. If you are not having fun, you are in the wrong profession/hobby.

Hi Lenny,
You asked about my macro lens:
It is a Tamron SP AF 90mm F/2,8 Di MACRO 1:1
I am pretty happy with it, it is lighter than most macro lenses and that is important for me. There are better ones on the market of course but this one is good enough for my purposes and skills for now.I can shoot handheld with it which is something I really need for the insects photos, a tripod is way better but it just does not work in the field.
I see you have a macro album yourself too, most of it is more like close up isn't it? Without a real macro les you can hardly get a 1:1. So you are thinking of getting to the real thing eh??? :) well...it is addictive!
