and modified 3 months ago Rebuilding this eBay Built up model to represent a “Barn Find on a Budget” was a lot of fun. After disassembly, the Box Stock 4 banger was painted with Engine Enamel, Antique Ford Engine Green “RSP6” and some go slightly faster goodies were located. The Dual Carbs., Intake Manifold and the Distributor came from a Revell H-1324, ’30 Model A Woody. A better Exhaust Manifold had to be made, bigger exhaust pipe with a Thrush Mad Hot Muffler, a 4 Blade Cooling Fan was added and an Alternator takes the place of the old Generator. The Roof Insert, Sun Visor and Fenders are painted with Krylon Fusion Satin Black. Dupli-Color Grey Filler Primer was used on the Rumble Seat Lid and the Body. A ’40 Ford Steering Wheel, a new Shifter, new Windows made from Clear Evergreen Sheet and some Dupli-Color Grey finish off the Interior. The Chrome was left in “As Received” condition with the exception of the Radiator Shell. and modified 8 months ago To date no one has done a LS1 into a Datsun 510 so I figured, what the hell. An entire heavy duty rear sub frame was built with leaf springs and diff.. The front firewall had to be moved back, a new radiator support was made from Evergreen Styrene and the intake tube is made from Plastruct tube as is the roll cage, the electric power brakes and entire exhaust system including the Cherry Bomb Glass Packs.
