and modified 1 month ago Basilica Cistern (vast and astonishing), Grand Bazaar, Mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent.

The Mosque is under restoration in 2008-2009, but we saw the mausoleums for the sultan and for his wife Roxelana. Roxelana was a girl from Ukraine who was stolen out of her village and sold to the harem at a slave market. I heard that story back in school, so it was interesting to me to actually see her tomb.

We also had lunch at the Daruzziyafe Restaurant.
