They are allowed to submit any shots they have taken during the year or indeed may submit new shots. After being a beginner last year I am now in the Intermmediate Section and submitted 4 prints and 2 slides. The slides are not shown here. Only 4 slides were entered in for the intermmediate section I was lucky enough to win 1st and 2nd place with them. I also won 1st and 3rd equal places in the prints competition. The photos and slides are judged by an external independent judge.
