Hi Cath! I came to thank you for your visit to my album the other day. I had no idea I would find such a teasure trove of wonderful photos of Scottish castles. I can not look at them all in one night because I started my visit too late in the evening. I will definitely come back until I have seen them all. I was able to visit Scotland and England a few years ago, and I truly fell in love with Scotland. It is such a gorgeous country, and the people are so friendly. I found my family's tartan and had the most wonderful time visiting your homeland. Thank you for sharing it with us! Huge hugs from America - Carole

Yes I do see similiarities between our countries.

was taken in the Grampians (we also have a range named that in Victoria, Australia). It reminds me a lot of parts of Australia and the colours we have. I am starting to appreciate how lucky we are with our light although with so many bright clear days we dont in general have enough rain in the right places.

If you like bright clear photos do have a look at my Broken Hill photos. At one spot can lookout over a plain of around 160,000 sq km which doesn have any settlement at all - bit spooky.

Congrats on your retirement. Looks like you will be doing even more walking. Looks like almost all of Scotland are out walking and keeping fit.

I thankyou with all my heart, for the wonderful Comments in the Wales Album Again. You where right on every one of the Castles, and the place's you have been in Wales. The Man who ownes the Fairy Glen Hotel, was so wonderful. The food was Beautiful. His wife did all the cooking, just what we wanted.

Thankyou so much for all the Wonderful Comments you have put in my Wales Album. You where right on every one of your question's. I used to have them all named, but I lost them all when I came out of fotki. Also I am not a very good speller.lol. Beamaris, Caemarfon, Conwy. All correct. The bridge that goes over to Angelse, I have spelt that wrong.?

Thanks for your visit and nice comments. I haven't been taking many photos this year as not really been anywhere different. I was at the Highland Show last Friday so managed a few photos there but still to edit and load up. I came back from Airdrie today to prepare for Bob & Myra coming. We have a very busy house now as Rhona is staying with us and Angela has a job in Invergordon and at the moment is travelling back and forth but is moving into a cottage next week.

Have at last had the chance to look at your Coldingham/Eyemouth pictures. As you say, we take the same kind of shots, although you take at least twice as many as me. (and Bob takes half). Your pictures are lovely, and really show the day as it happened. Hope you get some lovely pictures at Portpatrick. (.... but of course you will) :-)

Apparently this is a standard procedure all paramedics follow at the scene of an accident when they come across your cell phone.

ICE - 'In Case of Emergency'

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence the 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign.
The concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell(mobile)phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name 'ICE' ( In Case Of Emergency).
The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as 'ICE.'
For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc.

A great idea that will make a difference!

Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our Mobile phones today!

Please forward this. It won't take too many 'forwards' before everybody will know about this. It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest.

ICE will speak for you when you are not able to.
