Hi Christine, What a great site - I have so enjoyed going through it. I came across it as I was looking through sites to find info. on my husband, Thomas Ross MacBeath`s family, as his father Donald Ross MACBEATH was born in Birichen near Dornoch around 1920. I enjoyed the pictures and old maps. Sadly, I have not found any links yet. I was in Golspie a number of years ago for the National Gaelic Mod and enjoyed it very much.

Your website is A1 plus wonderful! It enables us from such faraway countries
as South Africa to access our Scottish heritage. For political reasons perhaps South Africa always seems to be forgotten about on family research websites.
We have a large amount of scottish descendants dating back to the early 1800's.
Our exchange rate of nearly Rand 16 to One Pound often excludes us from accessing our heritage, meaning that we have to pay 16 times more for the
information! That said, your website enables us to visit our ancestors graves
which otherwise would be prohibitive. Thank you so much Christine!

Hello Christine,
I've enjoyed looking through your photos and website. My grandfather, Robert Sangster came to Canada from Rogart with his wife Wilhemina and their four young children: my father William and his younger brother Alan were born here and grew up at the Duke of Sutherland's farm in Brooks Alberta. I have been to Rogart and seen the farm where the Sangsters lived. (Rovie Farm)
I wished i'd been able to stay longer and nose around more. My eldest sister went to Scotland a few years back and took pictures of our great grandparents graves in the Golspie cemetery.I hope to get back there some day and spend some time meeting with the old timers but until then you've kept me entertained for a few hours.
All the best from BC Canada.
Pamela Sangster
